About REDCap
The REDCap (Research Electronic Data Capture), a secure web application for building and managing online surveys and databases, is designed, in particular, to support online and offline data capture for research studies and operations. The REDCap Consortium, an extensive support network of collaborators, is composed of thousands of active institutional partners in more than one hundred countries who utilize and support their own individual REDCap systems (https://www.project-redcap.org/).
As part of the Consortium, UP Manila is authorized to use the REDCap program for research studies, activities, and projects. The REDCap service is currently managed by the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research (OVCR) and the UPM Information Management Service (IMS), in coordination with the Research Grants Administration Office (RGAO) and the corresponding research review units. The UPM IMS serves as the in-house host with the IMS Director serving as the UPM REDCap collaborator.
Procedure
The following procedure shall be followed for REDCap service requests from UPM constituents:
- Keep the following ready:
- RGAO certificate of registration;
- Study approval from the appropriate research review board, whether REB, IACUC, or IBBC.
- File a service request on https://sits.upm.edu.ph.
- Log in your ADS credentials
- On successful login, go to https://sits.upm.edu.ph/n/Service/view/92
- Below the page, click "Request this Service".
- Fill up the request information.
- Click "Send Service Request".
- Keep checking the request status by opening the page https://sits.upm.edu.ph/ticket/list/my.
- Upon approval of the request, the IMS shall contact the requester regarding their access to the UPM
REDCap.

- The UPM REDCap group is not allowed to divulge information on research projects registered in the system.
