An upgraded training course on Google applications designed for University staff has just been rolled out in February 2021. Entitled "Google Workspace Training", the course now focuses on the rebranded applications suite of Google, which used to be called G Suite.
Having realized the benefits of the Google applications such as Google Drive and Gmail, the College of Nursing has sent its 28 staff and faculty members to the first batch. The training is using a blended environment. Participants attend online sessions via Google Meet video conferences. Also, at their own pace, they log in to UPM VLE to access other training resources and do assignments, making them qualified to receive certificates of completion.
The training was rolled out on February 12, 2021. Running from 9am till 12pm per session, the five weekly sessions for the first batch will end on March 12, 2021.
Google Workspace is an integrated set of Google's web-based applications (e.g., Gmail, Google Drive, Google Docs, and the like), which have been offered to the University of the Philippines free of charge.
